So you are an aspiring filmmaker. Where do you go to sell your movies to the world? HungryFlix would be the quick answer to that very question. Everyday, videos are uploaded to this service by amateur filmmakers hoping to make it big in Hollywood. It is also home to many the movies from veteran independent filmmakers.

There are 9 main categories of movies on HungryFlix. Some of these include feature films, short films, sports, documentary and how-to videos. Each category is subdivided into genres for that particular category. However, there are many genres without any movies listed.

The quality of the content available on HungryFlix ranges from superb to I-can-get-this-on-Youtube-for-free. There are definitely some gems to be watched but there are many bad ones too. The trick is to stick to the top-rated videos and you're pretty safe with the selection.
Like Mobovivo, most of the videos are available for portable devices. The resolution is some where in the neighborhood of 320x240. However, a good number higher-resolution videos are also available.
There is no standard pricing for the videos available on the site. Each video is priced by its content uploader. There are quite a good number of free videos available. There are also many absurdly priced videos too ($14.95 for a how-to video). To pay for the videos, HungryFlix only accepts PayPal for the moment.

HungryFlix can definitely improve on its content. Currently, there are just too many badly-acted movies on the site. If the service can pour more resources into weeding out bad content, it will break out of from the me-too crowd into a powerhouse for independent filmmakers.
