This video series (in high-definition for full-screen monitors and HDTVs) showcases some of the most exciing discoveries in infared astronomy from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. Looking beyond the visible spectrum of light, Spitzer can see a whole new universe of dust and stars hidden from our Earth-bound eyes. Spitzer is the infared component of NASA's Great Observatories program, which also includes Hubble (visible), Chandra (x-ray), and Compton (gamma ray). This series is also available in standard definition.
