I have a ReadyNASNV+ and a stock 1.0 AppleTV. I just finished working out how to have the NAS share folder
mounted on the AppleTV using NFS automatically across reboots. Works like a charm.

I used a utility named MountNFS. It does not work easily but requires permission tweaking in the terminal after installation.
But it the clean hookup I was after. I could have used NitoTV to do this operation but for several reasons I wanted to avoid the use of any software to do this particular job. Now my AppleTV probably runs cooler as well with the HD reading files from the NAS instead. No need for iTunes what so ever. Files stream straight to the ATV.

Anyways - I also didi not have to use an kext's to do the job. Just a free utility that I must donate to immediately ; )

The NFS mount is very snappy.
