that stick worked fine for me && others so we'l see what up with your situation exactly.

Followed everything to the letter, formatted the USB drive MAC OS X (journalled), checked GUID partition so it'd boot from the drive, even bought a new stick and tried that!
I'm probably doing something stupid, or maybe my refurb 1.1 isn't cool with hacking for some reason? It was BNIB so it should work ok...
I'm frustrated, but still hopeful a solution will present itself.
