Upon the excellent suggestion by Skanza ... I have sent you guys the download link for the uncompressed ZIP image of the stick. It contains instructions FULL. They are located within the /installer.d folder on the image in the ssh file - as it is titled.

Perian 1.1 is what I am using FYI.

PLEASE let me know as each of you gets the image successfully. This is all I ask.

thanks, got it, copied the requested files, rebooted, but I didn't see any text, or anything out of the ordinary, and after unplug, no new menu items, should I try again... should this enable ssh automatically?

You are ok so far. There should be NO new menu items.

Did you try and login using Termial to the ATV -

using

ssh -1 frontrow@your_apple_tv_ip_address ?

This patchstick is the starting point to allowing you to install such itmes as ATVFiles.

All of the plug-ins are under reconstruction for the new Take 2 interface.

Once you have successfully logged into the ATV then you can follow the instructions I left (Fugu) to place the ATVFules installer in the /frontrow directory and then install it.

More after I see how much you understand about what it is you are trying to do a...

if you were in fact able to find/copy the required files to the patchstick AFTER cloning the image TO the patchstick then you are doing fine....
