Where can I get the image?

The image is 22mb unzipped. If I want to clone it to a USB stick must I format the USB stick and can i use a tool like: http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html

Then it will burn it to the USB stick and i just insert it to the AppleTV? And all the instructions will be on the AppleTV?

Yes. Exactly. I doubt their will be a problem with the compressed image. Just an outside chance.

You just :

1. format the usb stick as 'Mac OS Extended (Journaled)'

2. the use an app like super-duper as your URL shows : that will essentially clone
the contents of the disk image to the usb stick.

If you look at the image I sent - in the "Replace this text file with Binaries referenced within" file - INSIDE the installer.d folder - there are FULL instructions as to
what to do - and I went further for those who are nubbies so they had some idea
of how to go about things after having a working patchstick - as that is simply step 1.


You will need to use whatever windows app will allow you to login to the ATV using
ssh -1 (bash shell.)
